Kurt Haaland joined NorTex in April 2015 as Vice President of Engineering and Operations. He has more than 40 years of oil and gas industry experience in both the upstream and midstream business sectors. Kurt began his career with Arco, which was later acquired by BP. Kurt gained valuable experience with upstream reservoir management in Alaska on the world-class Prudhoe Bay and Kuparuk reservoirs. He later managed major facilities projects in Alaska, the deep water Gulf of Mexico and numerous international locations. Kurt has experience in international new business ventures and acquisition evaluations.
Prior to joining Nortex, Kurt worked for Chesapeake Midstream in San Antonio, where he managed field gathering, compression and pipeline projects in the Eagle Ford Shale play. Most recently Kurt established and managed the NGL Engineering Group at DCP Midstream. This business line provided engineering support and new construction for four NGL pipelines, NGL storage facilities in Michigan and propane storage facilities on the east coast.
Kurt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana.
